#WhiteGirlProblems

Have White Girl Problems? Probably not but it's fun to complain about bullshit... If you've heard of that "FirstWorldProblems" trend, you probably get the idea, except having a white girl problem makes you one billion times more cool.

I'm not even sure when or where I came across the whitegrlproblem twitter account - that has over 700,000 followers and you should be one of them. I'm assuming through the #whitegirlproblem hashtag she and many others use to identify their bullshit complaints. Enter Babe Walker, the girl who runs the twitter account. On top of the twitter account she also has an ingenious blog of the same name, White Girl Problems , that discusses a variety of topics - including her 'Ask Babe' section where she gives 'advice' to other rich bitches (and bros). She has been described by TIME magazine as 'the epitome of the urban socialite you love to hate' and has a New York Times best selling book also by the same name

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to read it yet, but I have read the available online chapters (www.babewalker.com). Here's a little something from White Girl Problem #21: Every Job I've Had is The Worst Job I've Had for you to love....

This Babe Walker has got to be a joke right?!

Well, kind of but not really Babe Walker is, in fact, a character made up by these people:

(L to R) Tanner Cohen, David Oliver Cohen and Laura Schoenhals are the brilliant minds behind Babe Walker and White Girl Problems. The article over at The Daily Mail  (where I also got that photo above) states "Television actors and brothers Tanner, 25, and David Oliver Cohen, 31, along with their friend, Lara Schoenhals, 27, were inspired by modern day celebrities who they feel are out of touch with reality. Speaking about the idea for Babe Walker, the only female member of the creative trio told The Daily Beast: '[It] is a culmination of this moment in pop culture that celebrates women who have a lot of money, a lot of shit to bitch about - but no real reason to be unhappy.'" Another article I read says the character took a lot of components from the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.

"Over the course of a meal with Schoenhals and the Cohen brothers, “Babe” is talked about not only as if she were a real person—she’s referred to as the fourth friend in their clique who simply couldn’t make it to lunch. “She’d be eating at that table,” Schoenhals says. “Her back would be turned to us, and she would get the butter lettuce and tomato salad—no croutons, no shallots, no vinaigrette. One tomato.” (Authors On Babe Walker) and to me, she will always be Babe Walker, definitely someone who you'll want to follow... the bitch you'll love to hate.

And until you become as obsessed with her as I am... here's a video of Babe at the Chris Benz Spring 2012 fashion show for you to love and enjoy.

Have a kickass week Bitches and Bros. Namaste.
